Libraries Rock Program Banner

Commerce Township Community Library invites all area adults to the library this summer for the Libraries Rock! 2018 Adult Summer Reading Program. We will discover ways that music influences our lives and brings people together. Patrons are invited to try something new: listen to new music, read a new book, try a new craft, and meet new people. Summer Reading Kickoff is on Saturday, June 16th, and runs through Saturday, August 18th.

Pick up a flyer at the library, visit our website at, or call us at 248-669-8108 for more information.

All programs are free and open to the public.

Libraries Rock Your Landscape: The Beauty of Native Plants
June 2, 2018 | 1pm - 2:30pm

Native plants can withstand sub-zero temperatures, summer heat, drought, and insect predation all without supplemental water, fertilizers, or sprays. In addition, native plants co-evolved relationships with our native insects, and together, form the foundation of the food chain that supports butterflies, bees, birds, and predators.

Native plants can be used to create beautiful landscapes that are designed to increase habitat, reduce resource inputs, and build healthier outdoor living areas.

Learn the principles of sustainable landscaping and how you can do your part to reduce resource inputs and create habitat.
